Bob Hedlund filling in for Sam Kopper WATD Fri night

Aren't able to catch Kopper often with my work schedule but caught about 30 min last nite. Didnt hear MBRI but caught some great tunes i hadnt heard in some time. That pol can rock! Thought I went into time machine and flipped on old "BCN, or maybe 'CGY (although I dont think CGY played Tom Robinson. Sam, keep up the great work! I miss old BCN.
 
yep I got on with Bob and we were discussing Robert Ellis Orall, what he is doing these days
( producing albums for Taylor Swift), and some of the people who played on the "Simple Pains" album, including the drummer, David Steffenelli,who plays in a bunch of bands in Southern NH ( Mama Kicks, Four Sticks, Beloved Few) and who else the has hit the skins for ( RTZ, Peter Wolf).

Some one of these nights I really have to go sit in with Bob on a monday night
 
The Free Form BCN stream is great, Sam's on there M-F 11-2 usually. He's on a deserved vacation now! Check that out some day you can link from wbcn.com

It has been Sam's plan, and I hope it happens, but the trick will be convincing CBS to provide a budget, and ideally, a real (non-residential) studio space.

So far, the DJ's on their live segment between 11 AM - 2 PM weekdays besides Sam himself (mainly Brian Young from WZLX/WMFO, and Albert O.) have been on as volunteers from Sam's home studio as far as I know. Not an ideal situation for adding more live hours and hosts.
