BOB KWESSEL?

Dunno! I remember him in the 80s on "people power" WAVI in Dayton. He and Mike Scinto raised a lot of hell on that former talker back then!

Back in the 1080's, he was at WRC in Washington. He disappeared for a year or two. Then he was on WCBM in Baltimore for a time.

Bob Kwesell (please note the proper spelling) passed away on June 20th. Yeah, I remember when he was on Washington's WWRC from 1987 to 1989. For a short while around 1996, he was on Baltimore's WCBM. He was without a doubt one of the worst if not THE worst talk hosts I'd ever heard. He vehemently ridiculed callers who disagreed with him. Mind you, this is NOT coming from someone who was ever a bleeding heart leftist! Kwesell's replacement on WWRC was much more respectable. His first name was Mark. I can't recall if his last name was Scott or Davis, but it was one of the two, though if memory serves me correctly, I believe it was the former.

I've never encountered anyone quite as disrespectful as yourself. The man has passed away & you have nothing but vile words to say about him. ??? Classless. Cheap shot, maybe? Especially in his death.
How about a tad bit of respect for the thousands upon thousands that loved the man...particularly say, ummm......HIS FAMILY???!!!
Either way...you may have despised him but he had the EXACT effect on you that he wanted. YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT HIM. Even in his death.....10+ years AFTER he retired! Whether people loved him or hated him...they talked about him. And I feel they always will. RIP Bob Kwesell! We'll miss you.
What you've said here has made feel sorry for you, if it's any indication of the kind of person you are...than i'm quite certain you will have MANY folks saying "unfortunate" things about you upon your death. tsk.
Bob Kwesell wouldn't say a bad word about you though...he was obviously 1 billion times the man you are. God Bless & GOOD LUCK!

I only heard him during his short stint in Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC, but he seemed pretty entertaining to listen to. Which was, of course, his job. He's one of the few people I've heard that I wondered where he went after he moved on. I think he went from WFNC [and maybe a Wilmington sister station] to WPTF, or maybe he stopped by here after he left WPTF. Then he went up North near DC, I think.

RIP Bob "Wrestle with" Kwesell

I don't know what the man was like as a person. He might have been a wonderful person/husband/dad/ granddad/neighbor, etc. He may also have been great with the folk(?) band that he was a part of. I'll admit it, I never met the guy. But I do feel that as a radio talk host, he left a great deal to be desired! I have little respect for someone who's in the public eye that comes across as overtly abrasive, especially when they're taking up a valuable signal! I have heard several hosts on the radio that while I may disagree with them, will come across with some level of decency and dignity and do not talk down to callers that have a contrary opinion.

One funny moment from his stay in Dayton. He was in attendance at the wedding of legendary Dayton D.J. Steve Kirk. When the time came for the minister to say "If anyone knows why these 2 should not be united in Holy Matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" Bob let out a loud "I DO!!!" Everybody knew who said it, and it brought the house down! He was loud, funny, irreverent, and fondly remembered by those who agreed with him as well as those who didn't. Honestly, he was way ahead of his time.
