Bob Leonard Moves On

Bob Leonard posts on his WBAP.COM blog that he's headed to Miami.
Too bad he has to move, but good on him for finding a new (and hopefully better) opportunity.
Any clues on who gets his shift? Maybe Brad Barton will apply....

Gonna miss Bob. He's a hell of a guy and he did a great job at WBAP.

Haven't heard who the replacement is yet. Guess we'll just have to listen and find out.

That would be interesting if Brad went to work for WBAP. They could start doing weather once ,more and actually severe weather coverage. No wait,it's citadel. What was I thinking?

I heard from one of thier news guys that Bob Morrison will be filling in for a while. Not sure if Bob is going to get the shift for good or if they are going to hire some one else to do it. NOt sure how I or anyone else feels about that, but it is whats going on right now.

Bob posted an update this morning on his FB page...I thought I share a little of it with you.

Bob arrived safely in Pensacola yesterday and spent the evening with his former morning show co-host at WYSP, Sonny Fox. (For those of you who don't know...Fox & Leonard were the first morning team in AOR radio back in 1974-75.)
As of this morning, he's heading on to Miami, and the dream gig he's been waiting for.

Wishing you and your family all the best Bob.

The same Sonny Fox that did mornings here on the old Y-95? (August 1989 to June 1990)
