Bob Leslie of RJM deceased?

Just had a call that someone read in the Eagle that Bob Leslie of RJM died on 10/25 in Orland. Anyone know anything? I hope not, Bob was always extremely nice to me and I enjoyed his afternoon show tremendously when it was on. Someone please respond and tell me that I'm wrong.

The story I got was that Bob went to Orlando this past weekend...went to a funeral home and made his arrangments, and told them he wanted to be cremated with no funeral, paid them and went to his hotel room and committed suicide.

Met Bob briefly once. Didn't know him personally, but his partner and friend Marv Edwards
is a dear friend and mentor. Spoke to Marv this morning. I think this is a tough, tragic, sad
radio story. I grieve for my friend Marv and Bob's family and friends whereever they are.

Wow. Worked with Bob at the original WRJM (105.7 Troy) in 1985-1986. He hosted a Sunday evening show called "Sunday Swing" featuring Big Band/Swing/40's Jazz music. In fact, I got the chance to fill in for Bob a couple of times on that show, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Didn't get to know him all that well outside of the environs of the station, but seemed like a good guy.

Tragic news.

Anyone know of a link to this story? It had to have made the local paper.

I've called the Orlando Sentinel, and they haven't printed anything about it. They suggested I call the PD, but I'm sure that they won't release info about a suicide victim to non-family. If I find anything out, I'll let you guys know.
