Bob Mooney

Is that the Bob Mooney who used to be at WGUY-AM in Bangor?

And speaking of "Where are they now?". Whatever became of some of the other DJs on "The Big Guy"--Bob Diamond (McAlister?--I think he went on to referee in the NBA...Jack Dalton...(it seems like he's the one who locked himself in the studio and played 'West of the Wall' all afternoon.) And then there was Bob Dow...? Just curious.
 
Bob Dow is down here in the Augusta area. He's in sales with Blueberry/WABK. I hear him on spots fairly frequently.
 
My old friend Bob Mooney! I was one of the jocks (Doug Driscoll) at 'GUY 12 Rock at the end when the FM took over. Bob Mooney gave up the GM position to Chuck Stone, owner Mel Stone's son. Bob came back in the mid 80's with Jack Roberts as PD and took the FM to #1 for the first time! WGUY-FM was called Y-101 at the time and became Rock 100FM. They are now WKIT. They used to be on 100.9, but now are at 100.3.

Bob Mooney was a legend among us Bangor DJ's. Michael O'Hara and Chuck Foster could tell you a tale or two! LOL! So could J.R. "Records" Randall! Mitch Mitchell as well! I'm retired now, but have fond memories of Bob Mooney. He came to Florida a couple times to visit Sales CEO Neil Chamberlain. Ask Mighty John Marshall about Bob Mooney! Ya know...a BOOK could be written about the man...
