Bob Newhart's 1961 Variety Show

Can anyone tell me anything about Bob Newhart's variety show from 1961-62? All I know is that it aired on NBC, won an Emmy for Best Variety Series, and then got canceled. I've never seen even a tiny clip of the show.

I hear it ended with him having strange premonitions about being in innkeeper in Vermont....

There was an American Masters special on PBS a few years back on Bob Newhart's career that had a few clips of the 1961 series as well. That could possibly be available on DVD.

And even stranger premonitions about living in a Chicago lakeshore apartment with a coo coo airline pilot dropping in everyday. :D

Ahhh, but it was all a dream he had one night while living in a Chicago high-rise with Susanne Pleshette....

;-)
