So any thoughts about Bob & Shari on 104.7?

Here are mine - Way less Bob & Shari way too many commercials and too much music! Yes too much music. A 3 song sweep in morning drive? Oh and who's bright idea was it to put the show on from 5:00am to 8:30am? They couldn't let it go till 9:00am? I'm not sensing an overwhelming vote of confidence here. I hope I'm wrong.

On the positive side the music was much better but that's just my opinion as is all of the above.
 
Glad they are back. Music mix is much better. But disappointed they end early at 8:30 rather than 10:00 like on the network. Should at least let them run till 9:00. Maybe they will tweak some of this eventually but for now they are running more music after 8:30 with their previous morning hosts. But 104.7 has much better music mix than 107.9 which still needs to be improved. I prefer 102.9 and 104.7 for music format and then 107.9.
 
They're running TV commercials now. They say music is what people wanted and there are more hits.

But to me "Hits" means newer songs, which I think we've established are not being done on K-104.7.
 
Most guy's Bob's age listen to "The Ride" or WRFX "The Fox". I have no idea what music Mr. Lacy listens to. I am slightly younger than he is but I don't fit the mold of the average listener having started at a very young age!
 
What do you know about WHVN? A member of my Yahoo group who I believe has posted here says there's no evidence WHVN has been sold.

Well, I was listening to WHVN's style of music in my 20s. I was also listening to "soft adult contemporary" and country. And I know I liked "beautiful music" in my teens.
 
Why do they end Bob & Shari at 8:30 am? My guess is WKQC begins a 60 or 90 min. commercial free sweep when many workers are arriving at their desks. Nearly all AC stations do it. While the morning team usually stays on until 9 a.m. or 10 a.m., it's really just brief, uplifting comments and right back to music. I'd guess at some stations they voice track them.

Bob & Shari have their network show to worry about. So I guess WKQC decided to let someone else do the quick two or three sentence comments as the station switches to at-work mode. I'm sure on the network, Bob & Shari are doing regular discussions and bits, especially for Central and later time zones.

Yeah. It's not right to deprive people in their home market. Also, it's Sheri.

I think they should stay on to at least 9:00

It's odd they would end the show at 8:30 am...like what does an extra thirty (30) minutes would do?

Elsewhere on this site, I have learned of a possible change at a mainstream AC that has stayed on the soft side and played a lot of older songs.
