That article is behind a paywall, and it gets cut off by a "you have reached your article limit" even though I have not even read one article.

This is certainly an example of how newspapers are killing themselves. Instead of allowing one or two articles, they block you totally so that a negative impression is left. I wonder if newspapers did a PayPal "read it for $0.25" they would allow those with no interest in a local paper outside the place they live to read an article, and at least pay a tiny bit for it.
