Bob Steele Profiled on CPTV

I just discovered this program on CPTV at 8pm Eastern. I don't know if this is the first airing or not but the program profiles legendary CT broadcaster Bob Steele.

FYI: Just found it's scheduled for re-airing on 10/28 at 8:30pm as well as Sunday 10/30 at 10:30am.

I didn't realize the program dates back to 2003 (as per the copyright notice). I had never seen it before but I would guess some of you have.

Yup lately they drag it out every six months or so. Used to be you could go years without seeing this thing. Now you almost can't miss it.

I guess that just shows how much I watch local television. I do have to say Bob was certainly unique in his on-air presentation. I don't think too many of today's generation would get his humor (of course, assuming today's generation actually listens to radio in the first place).

Bob Steele was the right man for his time and his place, much in the same way Salty Brine was the right man in the right city at the right time in RI. As a society and a population changes, so does what is "relatable." it's tough to make a comparison to today, it's apples and oranges.
