Bob & Tom Out In Fort Myers

I know their longtime EP left last year, not sure if that's directly related.

B&T are based in Indianapolis.

From the article linked above:

"After extensive listener feedback, we realized what our audience wanted was less talk and more rock," said WARO PD JOHN ROZZ.

Lie, lie, lie...

The show became stale and Bubba started siphoning listeners.

Never knew why they were so popular. Watched their TV show on WGN TV one night. Boring.

In this case, the "listener feedback" WARO got appeared to be the lack of it... :D

On a distantly related note, WARO's audio is like fingernails on a blackboard. And, after an absense, they are calling themselves "The Arrow" more often now.
Bob & Tom were getting stale.

Glimpse of things to come ??
Once Internet radio is in the car,,Pandora will make dinosaurs of them all..

How about internet radio, in general? Pandora is not the be all and end all...

so the goal is no free over the air?all of our television and radio will be pay through cable , satailite or intyernet eventually.

Really? Press releases are the most bullshit-ridden pieces of work. If listeners actually told you to shut up and rock...maybe you shouldn't be doing radio. Call it what it is. We can't even afford a bad generic morning show. That's how suck ass our bottom line is. Turds.

It is more to do with cost cutting for them. This is the same company that no longer subscribes to Arbitron with all the stations they operate between the Fort Myers Broadcasting and Meridian conglomerate. They are not about increasing their ratings and making money there, they never were.

People want to be entertained in the morning. Even the monkey PD's these days know that.
