My Preface Note - Man I hated seeing Jim Powell leave, he was such a great straight-man for Bob Uecker's comdy bits and humor - they made such a great team.

Brewers fans were very fortunate to have a great radio combo like Uecker & Powell.

I don't know anything about Cory Provus - except that he comes from the Cubs radio team - which is an immediate demerit in my Brew Crew book.

After lots of waiting, Bob Uecker finally has a compadre.

Cory Provus was introduced Monday as the second member of the Milwaukee Brewers radio team, making his initial appearance on flagship station WTMJ-AM. He will broadcast his first Brewers game Feb. 25, the exhibition opener against Oakland.

Provus, who comes over from the Chicago Cubs radio team, replaces Jim Powell, who left the Brewers after 13 seasons to take a job with the Atlanta Braves. ...

Yes, it is. He's been one of the Brewers' announcers for a long time.
