All access is reporting that Bobby Bennett passed away on September 9th at his home in Florida. Bobby got his start at WAMO he later worked at WZUM 1590. His cousin Bruce once told me that Bobby was on the air at WZUM 1590 as the program director of WOL Washington DC was driving across the Pennsylvania Turnpike tuning his radio he picked up 1590 , pulled over to a roadside rest call Bobby at the radio station and offered him a job in DC.
