Bobby Dee was at WITH in Baltimore during it's heyday. He worked with me at WYRE back in the late 60's.

Sorry to bring you the unhappy news: Bobby Dee, whose real name was Robert Dowst, died on November 6, 2005 in Covina, California at the age of 78.

Although sad news, thank you for responding. As a young guy it was a great experience to work with an old pro like Bobby in my formative years way back "in the day".

Hello.

I am Robert's (Bobby Dee) youngest daughter Shelley. Sadly I was not around during my father's time as a DJ but I would really love to speak with both of you soon so that I can learn more about his life back then. I am trying to locate my half brother and sister who he may have been married to one of their mothers during this time period. I would apprecaite any help, memories or information. You can reach me through my email, [email protected]. If you know anyone else that knew him, please ask them to get in contact with me as well. I an very thankful that you knew him and that he lived a good life.

Shelley: Sent you a reply via email and hope that it is helpful to you. Maybe some others will do likewise.

I have a tape of Bobby Dee's last show on WITH on 8/28/66. Actually it was recorded first on tape, then to cassette than to CD.
