Bobby Hebb ("Sunny") is gone at 72

"Sunny" was "our song" for me and my first girlfriend circa 1966. Haven't thought of her in years, but have ALWAYS loved that piece - and "a Natural Man, too (see article),

Thank you, Mike, for posting these. Like the name of his publishing company & record label "Hebb Cats."
Was The Prisonaires "Just Walkin' In The Rain" the same song that was a pop hit for Johnny Ray in 1956 ?

God's peace & comfort be with those he left behind.

Excellent post Mike!

My memory escapes me but I recall someone either in or having been in prison having something to do with "walking in the rain"... That was a long time ago even for me.

For those of us who remember such things, that was a song that was right at about 2 minutes long.
Great for use in backtiming to the news and such.

I remember at KVIL we had a "Short Stack" of carts with songs 2 minutes or less for Ron to use to get one more song in before news at the top or bottom of the hour on his morning show. We didn't HAVE to hit it exact or anything, but he liked to be close.

The Letter by the Box Tops... Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys was also in the stack...
