Bobby Ocean back on air in San Francisco!

Hello friends!

It has been a while since I have posted anything. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been busy with life in general, Christmas, girl friend, shoveling snow, business and even some broadcast work.

Now here is some news:

My psychic abilities tell me that Bobby Ocean will be back on the air in San Francisco soon.

My visions tell me that it will be a station somewhere between Energy 92.7 and Star 101.3 and that it will not be 99.7!

So keeep tuning around for the personality we have missed. It will be great to hear Bobby Ocean again.

> Chris,

I hope your psychic abilities are correct. I'm sure everybody will now speculate what station he would possibly return to. I can't see Bobby saying "Lite Rock, LESS talk" every 5 minutes, and it would presumably be with a station that is heavy on 70s and/or 80s (Max?)... Now if we could just coax Lee Baby Simms out of retirement, we would have a real Baby Boomer nostalgia-fest, and it would at least partially make up for having our "demographic" dissed by radio programmers lately.

Bobby Ocean on Alice? Now THAT I've got to hear. :) I have no doubt our psychic friend is referring to 98.1 KISS FM. Which is great. Bobby is a really nice guy - my wife had lunch with him at the KFRC radio telethon. Ironic - she hates radio and all that I"m passionate about, yet she has lunch with Bobby Ocean while I type on internet boards. Hmm.

If I ever inherit a few hundred million dollars, I'll coax Lee Baby out of retirement, too!

> Kiss-FM would be good. I think it's a decent station, despite the limited playlist, and has some good personalities...Tony Sandoval, Morris Knight, Renel is talented, though she's not particularly to my taste. Bobby would be a good addition - though I always figured they laid off the talented Lee Simms because he was...well...older and Caucasian. Would Clear Channel reverse their thinking, and bring back Ocean because of his name recognition with older White listeners? Maybe, though CC has not generally been a company that values personalities, or radio history. Also - Bobby was let go from KFRC because the CBS geniuses decided his salary was too high. Obviously, he didn't volunteer for a cut in pay. I imagine he's getting by fine with his XM show, and his voiceover work, so I doubt he'd work for less.

It's Official: Osh on KOIT.

Reported on another website and confirmed by Osh himself in an e-mail this morning...Bobby Ocean will be the "on call part time guy" at KOIT.

Michael,
I think he'd be a better fit on Max FM - maybe that will occur to somebody at Bonneville.
