Bobby Wayn and the Wayne Train

Anyone have some great memories of Bobby Wayne? He was on WSAI in Cinci in the mid sixties and in Minn. later that decade. What a great entertainer. His energy was unbelieveable.

Is this the same the Wizard Bobby Wayne who worked in New York City at WCBS-FM and WYNY? This Bobby Wayne passed away years ago. It is possible through that more than one radio personality used the name Bobby Wayne on the air.

Yes, this is the same guy. He was a wild man in Cincinnati, and the kids loved his show. Literally non stop activity from the start to finish. It would just wear you out just listening to him. I would catch his Sunday night show driving back from Cinci to Morehead Ky until I lost the signal around Flemingsburg. He has a daughter in NYC I believe, and I thought I had some airchecks of him that I wanted to send her, but I can't find them. He died in the early 1990's I believe.

The Wizard Bobby Wayne (on CBS-FM 101.1) Played "Memphis" ("Long distance information, give me Memphis TN...") Over and over and over one night. How'd he keep his sanity?
