If Westinghouse had come up with same $$ and a TV show like WTAE did, Bogut never would have left. He was obsessed with doing TV, probably because he was bored after becoming the traffic cop on his radio show. Cashing those Hearst checks was nice consolation for never being #1 again. WTAE bought out the last year of his contract. He took some time off then went to WISH 99.7 for the morning show. Quit that, took time off, then came back to Renda to do the *afternoon* show on WJAS. Moved into mornings when Jack Wheeler quit/was fired for about the 10th time. Bogut is 78 but he still wants to work. School closings on radio are obsolete now with text, Internet and TV crawls.
