Boiling Springs Swap, Etc

K-Love Inc. is trading 88.3 WLXK Boiling Springs NC/Spartanburg VA to Delmarva Educational Association for 89.1 WHAR Cheriton/Norfolk VA. The organizations have been operating the stations they will be acquiring since April 2024 under Network Affiliation Agreements with WLXK part of Delmarva’s Christian Preaching “Truth Network” and WHAR as Worship “Air 1“. K-Love will also pay Delmarva affiliate Roanoke-Vinton Radio Inc. a monthly fee for the loss of its tower lease for 90.7 WZLV. RVR will receive $1875 per month for the first year rising by 3% annually over a ten year period.
Right off the bat, that's the old WGWG, Boiling Springs, SC and that should be Spartanburg, SC. According to Truth's website, at least, last time I checked, looks like they've been operating it for a while.

And with 96.9 Greenville Truth Network covers the main two counties in the upstate. Im assuming that since WHAR and WZLV share a tower and Delmarva officially owns WHAR K love was paying to use the tower as well for both signals and will do so for 10 more years once the signal ownership is swapped.

Is 96.9 Greenville full power? I thought it was maybe a translator, like some of their lone FMs appear to be. On the others, yeah, it appears that way.

96.9 is the third strongest translator in the market IMO after 99.5 and 98.5. It goes quite far to the west and south and can even put a decent signal to the east despite being directional.

South/West of Easley, 96.9 gets staticy because of adjacent WJNA 96.7 near Anderson (that station is GNN, which recently signed-on to simulcast on other SC stations, 103.5 Greenwood and 99.3 Chester).

96.9 Greenville's signal makes it to the east, up to the westernmost part of Spartanburg, along I-85 to about exits 68 & 70, before WKKT from Charlotte takes over.

Its a translator with 250 directional watts

Roger on that, thought something like that. I remember when Stu (Truth Talk Live) used to be on 660, WESC. IIRC, the first place I ever heard of the network, etc, was when they were in the process of purchasing 830 from WXII and moving it to Kernersville.

Roger on all that, but if memory serves, 'KKT is from Charlotte, but licensed to/as Statesville. :D)
