Bold and The Beautiful is now the most watched soap

Came right out of left field. Way to go B&B!

How much of it could be because of being preempted by press conferences less then The Young and the restless?

Could Network on demand apps such as All Access owned by Viacom be a factor too for B&B's viewership?

I know in some cities like San Francisco, Sacramento and Los Angeles where CBS O&O's are located they have to be on standby for press conferences just in case the Mayors of Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and Los Angeles , County Leaders and the Governor all have to do COVID-19 Updates in their jurisdictions.

Sure. But that would generally be a “tide raising all boats” scenario, with some variance for news. And you also have more people home with kids—so probably a good chunk of viewing devoted to kids shows.

I’m not seeing how B&B would jump more than its peers simply because of the virus. Or put another way, that the ranking would be different in the absence of the virus.

I watch both part time (DVR on Fridays, when something big happens). B&B just paid off a HUGE storyline (Phoebe is Beth) which brought eyeballs. Y&R, IMO, hasn't had anything 'big' since the end of the J.T. Hellstorm storyline, return of Adam Newman and death of Neal Winters in Spring/Summer 2019.
