BOLD JOEL PREDICTION

S

Last Friday afternoon, the folks at CC Syracuse had a "picnic" on their lawn in front of their building. Eyewitnesses who attended this "picnic" shared that Joel spent 2 hours on the phone talking to San Antonio about their Taste of Syr fiasco. Other witnesses say that Joel created quite a scene when served with papers last week...can anyone verify that?

Let's recap last week, shall we....

1) He gets slapped by a judge in State Supreme Court

2) He gets gets publicly humiliated on page one of the newspaper

3) He spends two hours on the phone with corporate begging for his job.

Here's the bold prediction...

As soon as the CC sale closes, Joel will announce his "retirement" to pursue other interests, like quantum physics.

In days gone by, CC would never had stooped so low as to piggy-back on a competitor's event. SHAME ON YOU! Are you that desperate for ad dollars that you would schedule a client's promotion during another radio station's event? I would have loved to hear his reasoning behind it. "Oh yea, it will be bigger than the entire Taste of Syracuse." Loser... Now that is customer focus selling!!!

In days gone by, CC would have had the best people on its own team, and it would have come up with the idea for the "Taste of Syracuse" on its own, before someone else did.

As much as I still have a dicey impression of Galaxy, I gotta give them credit for having their act together on this one. When was the last time you saw CC pull off an event that drew thousands of people to downtown Syracuse? Or anywhere, for that matter?

Galaxy has the ToS last weekend, Citadel has 93Q Balloonfest... all the other kids are outside playing while CC stays holed up inside the house, gazing longingly out the window. CC wanted to go out and play, but they got grounded by the mean old judge. Awwwww.

And the later and later it gets into the summer, the more and more I'm inclined to think RomeToupee's earlier post about BJAM being cancelled isn't just a crazy rumor.
