Bomba 97.1/104.5 TV Commercial

Although I don't understand Spanish, I have heard that programming enough to recognize that it definitely sounds professional. (While it was on 104.9 I couldn't help but hear it!) Now that the dead-air pirate on 104.5 is GONE in New Haven, I spot-checked the BPT translator's signal. It came in quite well in the car as I drove through New Haven.

Like I mentioned in another post, this is a perfect use for HD2 or HD3 channels: STLs for analog translators in other markets to carry other programming targeting that market. Nice way to skirt the translator Rules about originating programming. ;) Imagine plopping a "new" 250 watt FM radio station on the air in BPT, just like that? So far, looks like it's working! Now I wonder how much longer it will take until they drive the poor 1450 AM Spanish station out of business by "stealing" listeners? The audio quality of the 104.5 translator is very good.

Thanks for the praise Willie....we feed the Bridgeport translator with a T-1 so the quality is very good. We have also joined the local chamber of commerce and will become embedded in the community, with lots of community involvement. I love your radio drama around 3 pm in the afternoon. I still listen to my favorite CBS Mystery Theater, but I have to listen at 10 pm, because it just sounds better. I have all 500 shows and love them. I have to also salute the FCC for taking the New Haven 104.5 pirate off the air. We located the building they were broadcasting from and the Boston office lowered the boom, in just a few days.

I also want to thank YOU, Mr Fuller, for all of the work involved with moving that translator to a much better frequency. :) It's a win-win for everyone, this way!

It does sound good.

The radio drama you refer to is called Adventures in Odyssey, and airs at 3:30pm. :) It is a very popular program.
