BOMBA-FM Expands

BOMBA-FM - Connecticut's only FM Commercial Latino Station has expanded. Based out of 104.1 HD2 and fed to a translator on 97.1 in Bolton, 99.5 in Waterbury (their COL is Clinton but their antenna is somewhere in the area of Lakewood Road in Waterbury), and 104.5 in Bridgeport they just added 2 new translators 104.5 in the New London area, and 98.5 FM in the Meriden area. The 98.5 translator used to be on 98.3 and relayed the Spanish Christian Network Radio Avivamiento.

Hopefully people will see this thread and not question whether they're hearing a pirate station or a legitimate station.

I don't speak or understand Spanish, but I think BOMBA-FM is a great station.
 
Bomba-FM bought out the W283BW Christian station in New London at 104.5? Are they going to be on the main channel or an HD channel?

Yes Marc you are correct. They were going to relocate the transmitter to Cook Drive in Uncasville where WCTY 97.7 FM is located, I believe WMRQ owner John Fuller was going to contest the move, because of 104.5 being so close to 104.1, so the deal as canceled.

Well it appears that they did move the transmitter to Cook Drive in Montville, Connecticut.

The station has posted roadside signs around the city of Norwich stating Norwich's New Spanish Station La-Bomba FM 104.5

The signal is 100% all around the town of Norwich, I guess they are moving the city of License to Norwich, CT.
