Bon Jovi songs removed from Buffalo airwaves

Not sure where I read it, but is it true that all Bon Jovi songs have been removed from Buffalo airwaves due to the Bills moving controversy?

I'm not sure that all stations have signed on, but 97-Rock and The Edge are certainly on-board - at least according to on-air statements. Jack would be the only other station likely to play them. It's more hype than anything else. I guess radio really can get people talking - including some reporters who should recognize a stunt when it smacks them in the face.

Bills fans are mostly men and a lot of men listen to 97. Most Bills fans think Bon Jovi is a d'bag because he's tied into the Toronto group that made an offer to by the Bills, but won't commit to keeping the team in Buffalo long term. 97 and 103 used to have the Bills until Citadel canceled all contracts and the Bills left for the sports station WGR-AM. The Bills really don't like WGR that much because the callers and hosts rag on the team, but the team didn't have much of a choice. Dropping Bon Jovi songs doesn't cost 97 a cent and it gets to promote "no Bon Jovi." How many Bob Jovi songs did 97 play anyway? Four? Five, maybe? Big deal. The Edge probably didn't play any Bon Jovi at all. So 97 doesn't play Livin' on A Prayer, Who Says You Can't Go Home, Wanted Dead Or Alive or It's My Life. No big loss there.

This former Buffalonian would break any Bon Jovi albums,
if I had any...... Thinking of buying a few used, just to
get the satisfaction of destroying them!

Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Two other Buffalo stations used to play Bon Jovi. Now they just repeat the same 50 songs over and over, but that has nothing to do with him wanting to buy the Bills.

The better version of Living on a Prayer is on a Toronto station anyway, 98.1 CHFI plays it with Bon Jovi and Sugarland. No Buffalo station plays it that I know of.
