Bone Auditioning Jocks On Air

Thought I would mention it because there is probably nobody listening. ::) It appears that 93.3 is auditioning people on the air after 7pm. I caught Kaden (former night guy at Movin 107.5 ) the other night and the next night was another CHR sounding jock. Seeing how Cumulus has done away with live local jocks at night, these guys must be going for mornings or pm drive. Could this be a sign of a flip or are they thinking that a top 40 delivery is the new big thing in classic rock radio? :D
 
What a mess. I heard some guy name JJ just puking his heart out a couple of nights ago on da Bone. He was painful to listen to. :-\ He even did the old " You can call me JJ, you can call me Jay, just don't call me late for dinner!" ??? Almost made ME puke. Pure bush league radio trash. There's so much talent in this town thats out of work, and this is what they're auditioning? Maybe the good talent hasn't applied. They don't want their pay to be cut after taking the job. :'(
 
It's 7:52. Fifty two past the top of the hour, eight before the top of the next hour. Twenty two past the bottom of the hour, thirty eight before the bottom of the next hour.

Good grief.

Well hey, at least it was somewhat original! ;D I can't say I have ever heard a jock do that kind of tine check, and I'm sure it's extremely confusing. ???

I just hope they don't audition this female jock I sort of know, whom I heard say things like, "It's 7:15 AM.. If you've got to be somewhere at 7:30, you have fifteen minutes to do so." ::)

I can't imagine anything worse than a dj on-air abortion named "Critter" on a rock station up in Wichita Falls... holy crap! I wanted to jab scissors in my ears just to stop the pain.

I want to hear REAL jocs with REAL voices. At least on a Rock station. Damn it! :mad: It's a classic rock format for the most part. Put the guys who LIVED it in the studio. There shouldn't be anyone in that room under 40. (Which leaves me out btw) Or at least someone who actually knows and loves the music. (Which puts me back in ) ::) Not some wide-eyed rookie kid spewing out old jokes. The days of the fake manic crap should be put in the grave forever. No speed talkers and no over-excited this rock thing is the greatest ever pukers. Cant' anyone down at the Bone get that through their heads? You're at the bottom of the barrel because the jocks you had sucked. Plain and simple! Fill the holes with Talent. Not just some cheap jerk who's willing to do the gig for 20k so they can crow about being a DJ in market 5.

Funny... I taught my 11 year old son to triple time check. He does it with perfection (and tongue planted firmly in cheek).

93.3 has to make a change. They have shifted so many times, nobody even listens anymore. Add to that the fact that they have no promotions budget. It will be interesting to see if any marketing is done if and when they flip formats. Kiss has a huge fan base. 107.5 made little headway in trying to snag some of those numbers, and they had a great signal. 93.3's signal is horrible.

93.3 does have a good signal for a certain format.....Dare I say it......Another Spanish format :eek: . I read rumors on the Houston board about Cumulus and a Spanish format. That stick is in the right place to cover the people it needs to cover. Any thoughts?
