Bongino

Dan Bongino on his Fox News Show let Lisa Boothe act like a loose cannon on the vaccine mandates. Yes this is while Neil Cavuto made an announcement that people should be vaccinated.

Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe on Saturday night announced that she won't get vaccinated to send a message to Biden.

"I'm doubling down as a giant middle finger to Joe Biden's tyranny in America and that's what this is all about," she said on Unfiltered With Dan Bongino. "We are literally fighting right now for the future of this country."

Cavuto received mixed reviews online for his vaccine remarks.

Apparently even though there is a Fox News Vaccine Mandate there is allegedly a loophole where some pundits can remain unvaccinated by doing the show from their homes. But in Neil Cavuto's case he did get vaccinated because it was required for him and his crew when they enter the Fox News New York Offices. But Bongino on the other hand is bashing Cumulus and to a certain extent Fox News over their vaccine mandates. Note in Fox News case its because New York State enforces the mandates.

Getting or not getting the vax is not political!

These idiots are political zombies. And Zombies with low IQ.
Kool-Aid Talk these people want to hype up the next Kool-Aid in 2022. We have been on this discussion for 1.5 years and we end up wondering who is benefiting from hyping up certain Kool-Aid here besides Trump or the Red State Governors.

Bongino claims his threats to quit isn't hype or a stunt. But then, what's he negotiating with management? A company of thousands of employees can't back down no matter how much one employee wants it.

Bongino: "Boss, I gotta tell you. I really don't like this vaccine mandate you've imposed. I may quit if you make vaccinations mandatory."

Boss: "The courts have backed vaccine mandates, for school kids, for military personnel. In the midst of a pandemic that's killed three quarter of a million Americans, the courts will back this mandate as well. We'll be sorry to lose you, Dan. But we're sticking with this mandate."

Bongino: "You're making me very upset. I may just quit if you keep this up!"

Boss: "Well, we'll have to start looking for your replacement then. And you'll have to give up your six figure salary. Sorry, Dan."

Bongino: "I'm still mad. But I guess I'm gonna stay."

He worked to get this break, made available due to the death of Rush Limbaugh. Does anyone REALLY believe he'll give up this plum job? As Howard Stern said when discussing this as a news item, if Bongino wants to quit, then quit. Don't tell us you're going to do something, then you don't.

Bongino may not even be in the Fox News Offices or Cumulus Offices Apparently he owns a production company and his talk shows go to Westwood One affiliates and Fox News. In other words all of his content rights go to him. While in Cavuto's case all of his content is owned by Fox News.

So apparently this situation has escalated. It turns out Bongino didn't know Cumulus was airing repeats.

He's still doing his podcast, and he ranted about being taken off the air there.

Here are quote from his podcast:

“The fight with them is having a real impact. Behind the scenes it’s getting a little ugly here,” he said on Tuesday’s podcast episode. “I wasn’t on the radio today. I don’t know what they did, played the ‘best of’ or whatever.”

Imagine doing your show, and not knowing that they've pre-empted you. He has a contract. If he quits, they can sue. If he doesn't follow company rules, they are justified to fire you. Maybe he didn't read his contract.

Conservatives used to support private business. Not any more.

Even corporate cramdowns can't make Bongino or Clay and Buck the next Rush Limbaugh
Like the CRAMDOWNS of that nasally whiner Mark Levin.
"If you don't carry Levin, we won't let you carry Hannity...."

Conservatives used to support private business. Not any more.

"Let the market decide !!! " these hypocritical and conservative-biased radio network execs always say...
... until it comes to their own programming...

Screeching Levin. All over the dial

Boing and the rest of the Angry White Men Chorus that seized talk radio are clearly out of step with mainstream America....
What's with the "Angry White Men" stuff? Other than your posts I don't sense any anger here. And what does race have to do with anything? I'm sorry if you're struggling with anger issues.

You been on the moon?
News flash:
Talk radio, for the most part, is designed to appeal to -- and mostly appeals to -- conservative angry white men, who only whine about how the "libruls" and "gubberment" are so out to get them, et al.
It's so odd radio programmers would target such a narrow segment for most of the nationally syndicated daytime shows.

18 HOURS A DAY listeners must put up with this claptrap.
No opposing views or hosts welcome, thank you, though clearly most Americans don't identify as conservatives.

After all, Repubs. are only about 29% of the voting electorate, slightly less than the opposing party, and whites will soon become a minority race.

If Bongino really wants to be a replacement for Rush he will need to lose the anger and gain some class. The NYC style does not work outside of NYC.
Bongino wants more time on Fox News? I don't know what else we shold look at here. One Bongino is playing the I'm the New Rush card on Cumulus along with Clay and Buck from iHeartRadio. Maybe Bongino wants to take over Hannity's Fox News spot at some point and move out from the weekends to Weeknights spot within the network.

Today Dan Bongino was challenged by another Cumulus conservative talk show host:

He accuses Bongino of "virtue signaling." Dan called into his radio show yesterday to argue.
Good the radio talk hosts have gone off the rail.

They are all trying to be the next Rush, but don’t understand why Rush was so popular.
I don't get it either. Why was Rush so popular? I believe it was because he built a massive audience in the days before there was much competition and fans stuck with him, unaware of other choices. Listening habits are hard to break. I believe that's why Hannity is still on top.

Rush was, mostly, popular because he was first an entertainer... not a political pundit. He did lots of things he learned in early Top 40 radio, like naming his producer Snerdly. His show was fun. Most talkers are not fun.

Exactly. Rush, whether you agreed or disagreed had an entertaining style. I don't think anyone comes close to that now.

You could always count on Rush veering off into a side subject that wasn't political, like cameras, phones or computers. This was perfect to take the heat down. While I generally disagreed with his politics, this tact was genius.
