If you want to know why a Classic Country station failed I submit this...I heard KAGM play BON JOVI and it wasn't even the hit with Jenifer Nettles. I heard no tributes to Porter Wagnor But I heard BonJovi......
Understood but it does not belong on a classic country station, that would be like if bonjovi remade 60's oldies tunes you would not play them on an oldies station. They say the Legends The Known, I don't think there core listener will go YEAH its Bonjovi
There may not be many times when I agree with Double C, but this is one of them. That album may be considered country, but I wouldn't call much of today's country geniune country. After all, Rascal Flatts is the backup band for Chicago!
The Range was originally a station that played geniune country. "Cowboy Up to The Range!" I don't think you would have heard Bon Jovi, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts, or very many current country artists on previous incarnations of the The Range.
