Bonneville made bid on CBS Baltimore

Talk around town is that Bonneville was a heavy bidder on the CBS Baltimore Cluster. Lets hope it happens!

Would that be a good thing??

If so, for who, employees at CBS or Owners at Bonneville?

I've heard good things about them. Wonder if they might be interested in other CBS markets.

From everyone that I have talked to, the folks in DC are a class act, how they are in other markets, I don't know.

Rumor mill central says that Bonneville is not after the whole Baltimore cluster, but just a few of the choice pieces (WLIF and maybe WQSR) that have good signals into the DC Metro. There is also the question if CBS will sell the stations now, or sit on them and hope for more bidders and a better price later.

Also if CC does put WBIG on the market, I would not be suprised if Mr. Oxley and Mr. Farley would be there with check book in hand. I've also heard rumors that there have been several inquiries to Salem about the availability of WAVA.
