BONNEVILLE MAKES MOVES!

Bonneville has swapped 97.3 and 94.9...WHY?

Good move? Bad move?

This is a very good move on behalf of Bonneville. Country in the tri-state area is king when it comes to making money. WLW is the cash-cow, but this could help overall.

There has been rumor that Bonneville will make a run at TALK-FM, but it failed miserably in the market just a few months ago, why would they try that again? Unless Bonneville takes the station and actually makes it work with a lot of live and local talent, good street presence, etc.

From what I've read from the yes.com chat room, everyone at the Sound was fired. I don't know about the staff of the Wolf.

According to the news updates on the front page of this site, the ENTIRE STAFF of The Sound was canned. I'm surprised that it took Bonneville this long to flip The Wolf and The Sound. My guess is that The Sound is going to go away, what with the staff being fired, and the format will be flipped to FM Talk(A HUGE success last time it was tried! ::)), leaving Cincy with no Alternative station. Too bad, because The Sound was a great station under Tommy BoDean, but has been slipping in the ratings ever since he left. I remember hearing that Entercom, when they owned The Sound, had big plans for the station, but they sold it off so quick that nothing ever materialized from it. Good luck to all of the talented people now out of a job at The Sound. It is a sad day in Cincy radio. :'(
