Boo Hiss at WLS-DT 7.2

This morning I tuned to 7.2 to catch the local news, which WLS-TV has been replaying after the morning newscast, since the demise of ABC News Now.

Instead of the news, 7.2 was running informercials. I checked an hour later, and sure enough... Infomercials.

Either WLS-TV has been unsuccessful in soliciting advertisers for the subchannel, or they just assumed nobody was watching. It seems like a silly move, especially since Comcast recently began carrying it on 217.

Anyway... From my personal perspective, I give them a big BO-O-O-O-O for this brilliant waste of DTV bandwidth. I am heading back to WGN-TV and Fox Chicago for the local a.m. news.

I just tuned in now and saw the end of a newscast and they just started 190 north.

At 8pm there was an infomercial on, but they did run one replay of the news after 6pm. Perhaps they are running infomercials during timeslots that would compete against ABC network programming?

I don't care...boo, hiss at 7.2 indeed. I want news, not an extension
of WJYS or "I" in non prime-time on channel 7.2. I can watch "the juicer"
on many other channels, thank you very, very little!

I just sent a complaint to WLS' programming department at abc7chicago.com .
How the mighty have fallen...from ABC News Now and great tsunami coverage
to this. Please, WLS 7.2, turn around! You are driving off a cliff...

If that was the case, there should've been infomercials on ESPN, ABC Family, Disney Channel, etc.

In other words, not competing against itself is not a valid point.
