The folks at KISSFM have a LOT to be proud of. I've always regarded them as a solid CHR that's more balanced than they're given credit for, and I'm very happy to see them succeed in such a huge way.

damifiknow......They shot up out of the box and came right back down...turnover??? programming??? You are the expert in the HIspanic formats

Sorry, I was being cute. Preciosa is a bad copy of Recuerdo. The original came to Dallas on January 9th on KLNO, and did a little clock cleaning.

I know that Jack beat KZPS over-all, but did they with the broken down numbers as well? I would figure that KZPS would have better morning numbers.

2.4 - 2.2 isn't THAT much of a difference...but it's a difference. I'd imagine ZPS is doin fine in their money demos. It seems the line is continually blurred when chasing the younger end of the 25-54. ZPS added the Nirvana, Tallica, and STP...Jack seems t have a lil more 'tude lately as well. The New Rock product on the Edge has more "REAL" rock songs lately instead of the rock rap stuff. Wolf is always there and active....but they're falling pretty good lately.

Question for DavidEduardo: As we see the rise and fall of the LaPreciosa network, how should CC react? (and, how do you expect them to react (which is probably different than the first question)?

They have a bigger issue, which is not being able to sell the formats. Preciosa does great where it has no competiton. But in other markets, it is being beaten or had been chopped in half already... where there is a Recuerdo on air.

Maybe they need to look at other formats besides this one. Oddly, the CC management thinks they invented the format, and even say so in interviews. the fact is, it is a normal radio copy of a format from one market into another. Maybe they need to copy somenthing else. Problem is they do not have any depth of programming management...

At this point, it is thier problem, thankfully. Of course, I may be regetting saying that by the next book! ;-)

Hey Clear Channel, flip 97.1 to Hallelujah FM PLEASE!!!. I know it would probably sound better than what Radio One would do with their "Praise" format.
