Book on radio jocks

Is anyone familiar with a book with chapters written by jocks and some if not all had stories about working for the original WMEX? It was all about the working conditions ie:eek:ne was about Max Richmond having a hotline to the studio so he could inform the dj on the air what to say and about the turnover of jocks at WMEX! Charlie Tuna worked there for a short time, Johny Holiday and Jim McKrell.
Thanks
Gary

Since many greats passed through the legendary WMEX at one time or another, there are several books which contain a number of stories.
Larry Lujack, Jack Gale, and others authored books which talk about Richmond, and the Jerry Williams book has some stuff, too. Also, if you google Richmond's name, you will find many pieces from blogs and other sources that all seem to confirm the same thing: Mac Richmond was a control freak, crude, boorish, cheap, and almost impossible to work for.

He also had an uncanny eye for talent and knew how to keep a station with a signal that did not effectively reach all of the market (especially at night) right up there among the top rated stations in town for many years.
