at least k-rock isn't completely dead, its on one of the HD channels. Jeffdfw, you were halfway right with one of Lady Gaga's songs being the top 5 lol.
My gut reaction to that promo mocking the self-absorbed, "hot-rockin', flame-throwing," was, admittedly, "Huh?" Z100 hasn't used in-your-face positioning like that in years. But it doesn't matter. Perception is reality, and if Now FM can successfully cast themselves as the hipper version of Z100, this could be a VERY interesting battle. And mind you, I think Z100 is brilliant - but Now FM seems to be playing their cards well at the moment.
How powerful is this 923 signal? What are they going to do that Z100 is not doing or cannot do? With Z being the heritage powerhouse, this will be tough! I'm all the way in Ohio and excited for you guys!
Circus is coming up. And I bet the recurrent/gold is in. But the first hour, HAS to be the hits.
The music selection has been very good for a rhythmic leaning CHR so far, and notable for the lack of any rock sounds.
However, there's been no live on-air personality, and no real mention as to how this station will integrate social networking into its programming, as promised.
92.3 arguably has a better signal than Z100. They're both from the top of the Empire State Building, but 100.3 has co-channel interference from Philly's 100.3 to contend with in parts of NJ.
