I can't friggin believe this Board. Last time I posted
the whole thread was deleted! Hah! Rather than read
about Savage and where he will end up I see people ranting
about BJ,KLSY's crappy ratings, who will go country, CBUT, KPLZ processing and which morning show
makes the most money. Same friggin stuff you geeks talked
about 12 months ago. Here is your answers...
No one cares about BJ, KLSY or CBUT or KPLZ processing. Rivers
makes 2 mill, Savage 1.5, T-Man 1.4, R@J 1.5. Everyone else
makes nothin. Who the friggin hell are burn and fastlane?
Savage is the only one worth the money and he is going to...
can't friggin say or my post will be deleted again.

I don't think your thread was deleted, I think it surrendered out of boredom. Not even it gave a damn where Savage ends up.

At the risk of having you go off on a post loaded with words like "friggin" and "Savage rules," could you explain what's so great about the guy who got NO ratings at Infinity and had NO audience from his previous station follow him.

I agree with you on other stuff, I just don't get it with Savage.

I have to agree with Danadee on this. I have had a chance to listen to other morning shows since Savage's departure, and I really don't get them. Bob River's show flows at the speed of a turtle and is boring. A while back I heard them spend 15 minutes on the benefits of margarine over butter. Maybe an interesting article in the health section of the Sunday Times but in no way entertaining during morning drive.

Every person on Jackie and Bender's show talk over one another which is annoying in itself, but the females on that show giggle at everyone of their lame jokes. Maybe just what the 13 year old junior high school girl looks for in a morning show, but again in no way entertaining.

I could go on with R&M as well as K&A but honestly I don't feel like writing anymore. At least with Savage you could count on some funny bits and interesting contests. The guy got good numbers for his demo back at the end and I think if management at Infinity handled K-Rock better (same ammount of TV advertising as Jack, more entertaining jocks in other dayparts, weekend jocks etc.) the station could have had a chance to be successful.

On the Andy Savage thing, even Bob Rivers attended a recent get together that Andy hosted. Andy mentioned in an email I recieved awhile back that Rivers' show is a good subsitute until he returns to the airwaves. I have to admit Andy did a good show, but he ain't no Charlie Brown, Gary Lockwood, Pat O'Day, Stern, Leykis, BJ Shea, Bob Rivers, Opie & Anthony, or even Pat Cashman for that matter. Some peoples' tastes are different than others. Maybe Andy will luck out and sign a deal with either XM or Sirius in the future. I honestly wish the guy luck in whatever he winds up doing and wherever he goes. At least he didn't make the mistake that Marconi(his replacement on The End)made. Just my $2.00 worth. Gotta love inflation.<P ID="signature">______________

Nobody cares about BJ, et al, but they have the threads that are dominating this board? Why? Because at least they're interesting personalities.
Nobody cares about Bill Virgin's column or if Kiro will beat KOMO. The FM personalities are the ones keeping radio at least somewhat interesting right now.

And the below statement is the truth.

Danadee,

If you have a comment about your postings and why they have been deleted/edited in the past then drop me an email. I have tried to email you in the past. Might want to update your email address.

Savage made some impact--in the wallets of Entercom. Granted his show struggled ratings wise (badly) at K-ROCK, but you have to admit that when he left so did the KNDD morning listeners. Look at Marconi's numbers during his stint, look at No Name's current numbers--they pale in comparison to what Savage and crew had at KNDD. So, if the audience that stopped listening to KNDD when Savage left didn't join him at his new "home"--wouldn't you say that they might not have ever "found" him. Let's get out of the "radio-bubble" people--99% of the Seattle radio listening audience aren't as "in-tune" to the changes as we are. Otherwise this board would have a lot more posters. So whether you like him or not, he was a "player" when his show was on a station with an audience. K-ROCK/Infinity dropped the ball. I am sure the majority of Seattle don't even know that K-ROCK existed. I am sure that those at The End thought they would be fine without him, but why don't you ask their sales department how much they miss the numbers he brought in & the money he made them. Despite what you might think, I am not a Savage fan like some other "friggin" posters--I am a fan of Bob, but Savage did a good show & it's a shame to see some people kick him when he's down. Also--any man that could get Alice In Chains to reform for a benefit show is alright with me.

I have to agree with you there. At least a show like BJ's stimulates people enough to have an opinion about him and honestly I think he likes it better when people call in and disagree with him because he knows that is what makes great radio.

Anyone can turn on a Mic and spout a bunch of babble from the morning newspaper, but very few can take the same information and spin their view so it makes people crazy enough to call in. BJ is very good at what he does and I think his numbers only serve to back that up.
