Neal Boortz is back on the air in Sarasota. 1220 WSRQ has him on from 11-1. Finally some nice programming in Sarasota. Also a nice signal as well. You Thoughts.
 
Nice to see him on at least for a part of his show. But nice signal on 1220? You must be halucinating... 250 watts? I'm fairly close to Beneva and Bahia Vista where the transmitter is and the signal doesnt make it much over the fluorescent lite buzz....

It would be nice if they at least carried another hour.
 
You didn't hear? They moved . They have a new tower somewere out by I-75 and are now up to 1000 Watts. They also bought a FM Signal which they say should be up in time for Rays Baseball. The first FM Newstalk format in Sarasota.
 
I know there have been construction permits for co locating with WLSS 930 that have never been built. One was for 5000 watts but negligable nite power making them back into a daytimer. I see another construction permit for 1kw days 39 nite. That makes it a daytimer again. There is no evidence in the FCC records that it has been built.
 
I don't know about all of that. It's nice to here the station clear up to the bridge on 275. And the programming on the station sounds better, the liners are better, just sounds good.
