Border Sells Three In Texas
Border Media Partners is selling two stations in Dallas, talk KXEB and Tejano KJON, and one in San Antonio, Spanish religious KFNI. The Dallas stations are being sold to Chatham Hill Foundation and the San Antone station to La Promesa Foundation, but all three stations will be operated by Guadalupe Radio Network, a Catholic broadcasting company.
The sale price for the three stations was $7.5 million.
The Dallas stations will start carrying Catholic programming on Oct. 1, but according to Guadalupe's Web site, the date for KFNI's conversion isn't yet known.
The sale of KXEB isn't good news for Air America Radio, since the station is the Dallas affiliate for the network.
