Ok. Jesse from the Edge is leaving for another job in San Francisco!

And CBS makes a revolutionary move towards bringing back the good ol' days of radio by allowing jocks to once again be PERSONALITIES by allowing an extra 13 seconds at each break for the jock to talk! Woo hoo!

BizRadio hits #1 in all dayparts.

The AM band and FM band work out an agreement to swap bands for a month, giving listeners the chance to hear all those AM stations in glorious stereo.

Al Brumley mysteriously reappears, telling readers, "It was all a bad joke done by the KLLI staff."

Rush Limbaugh teams up with Dr. Laura, and the new show is simulcast over both KWRD-FM and WBAP. He analyzes politics, while Laura analyzes Rush. Free Zanex to Caller #10.

Radio Desi buys KVIL, but refuses to let Gene and Julie go.

K-104 reverts to Disco Soul.

FM reverts to underground rock and beautiful music formats, and KLIF moves back to 1190...bringing back Charlie Van Dyke and others to start up an "All 1977" format. Peter McCann's "Do You Wanna Make Love (or do you just want to fool around)" is in heavy rotation.

Everyone on the Dallas board chips in and buys The Edge, vowing to return the old Q-102 to the frequency...but in-fighting and backbiting and self-appointed consultants ruin the project. Robert Bass is injured by gunfire during the melee, but is in good condition at Mesquite Community Hospital.

WBAP will be bringing back the noon news hour.

NO Rush Limbaugh from 12 to 3.... WBAP has decided to drop
the great pumpkinhead's contract says Tyler Cox, and go
with a LOCAL show, in order to better serve its listening
audience.

The big 820 will also be bringing back the afternoon news
from 4 to 6 PM. All local, all news and sports. No recorded
traffic. All LIVE reports. WBAP will follow the format of WBBM
Chicago.

In the evening 6 PM to midnight, management is still deciding
on whether or not to bring back Randy Galloway or to get
another LOCAL talk or sports show. Mark Levin (The Mad Jew)
has been told to take a hike, and his contract will be promptly
ripped to shreds.

Overnight, the hosts/board ops will be told to shut their traps
and just let the music play from 12 am to 5 am. WBAP will
be doing a simulcast of Lonestar 1190 during this time,
along with nationwide wx reports, and local/national news
at the TOP of the hour ONLY. Bill Mack will record his own
version of David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Call Me By
My Name" to be aired at :15 and :45 each hour.

Management has told other staffers that during 5 AM and
9 AM, no one is to touch, look, or converse with Hal Jay
and crew, that Jay is designated station manager during
that time with free reign, and if Hal wants to do barnyard
animal sounds for three hours, he can damn well do it.

There you go. That ought to start some interesting
discussion.

;D ;D ;D

ROFL

Sad thing is, there are some stations that would actually benefit from that kind of format. Well, just as long as we wouldn't have to smell the duck farts....

Not to worry, the smelloradio technology is being reserved for the all-recipe format, scheduled to launch sometime in 2008 on KEOM. We also hope to have the tasteoradio system in place by that time. Your radio will emit all the wonderful cooking odors, and you'll be able to taste the food by biting your radio. And nevermind having the recipe's faxed to you... We'll have a ssytem where you can simply have the actual food downloaded from the website.

KPLEXCOMPLEX designed the technology, and has promised there will be NO royalty fees for KEOM's right to use the system. Thank you, KPLEX ;D :) ;) 8)

You were shot up by David Eduardo after arguing over whether "Feliz Navidad" qualifies as either a holiday hit, a 70s hit, or a Spanish classic. After taking .25 caliber dings in the little toe and middle finger, you conceded that it is indeed a Spanish classic.

I won't get electrocuted, will I???? And what happens if the CHEF farts?

Black Talk with liberal and conservative show hosts debut on KKDA, and JWP is NOT a given a show.

94.5 and 105.7 can move their sticks to Cedar Hill.

Hyman Childs sells Service Broadcasting to Mortenson Broadcasting.....

As long as the CHEF doesn't sing 'chocolate salty balls' afterward....

KEWS will return, without all the previous strings attached (and pulled)...

KMNY/BizRadio will be allowed to broadcast at full-strength and for longer than dawn-dusk, and will return Jim Cramer's show to the airwaves here. Oh, and Ray Lucia's trimmed show will go back to full-length.

KNTU will go 24/7 with all-jazz, and a WIDER, STRONGER signal ;D

The Rangers will break their contract with KRLD, blaming their poor play on the station's low ratings 8)

[wow, if I keep this up, I might actually have *something* to listen to again here]
