Heard the Mighty Mighty Bosstones on YSP this afternoon, I know for a fact they never played this band before, with the addition of Blink and the MMB are they moving toward the old Y-100 format, when they are not yakking that is....they are still keeping the harder rock cuts, adding new stuff from 10 and Seether. Why would a station that is promoting talk and the Eagles, concentrate on putting out a great rock product also. Could it be to block a station from going rock full time, maybe if the talk does not work YSP would revert back to all music after Diamond Dave. It would be nice to hear the music YSP is cranking out 24/7/365, but the way this horrid philly market is, who knows what is in the future for rock radio.

Ever consider that Infinity is still tinkering with the formatics? They STILL may not have a firm idea of how to procede. This could be yet another fuster-cluck, ya know?

Just a thought...

The music they're playing fits the demo. Plus, it's better than running stale "best of" programming over the weekends.

Seems like smart programming to me.

Mighty Mighty! Bosstones! Mighty Mighty! Bosstones!

I will say it again - WYSP is my station of choice on the weekends...last night I was rewarded with Weezer!

Although, I must say that I was shocked to hear "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead on WMMR while flipping around last night...my wife was like "what the hell is this?"...how do I explain to her Lemmy Kilminster and his mole?

I don't see why thats shocking at all that seems right up MMR's alley.

Really? Motorhead is pretty edgy by their standards. I always thought of them as the station that plays more of the basic MOR rock stuff like Boston, Styx, Bad Company, etc.</P>

you were hearing Jaxon's I-Pod, I heard that song too, and then Jaxon came on to backsell the tune. And MMR pretty much plays all kinds of rock.
