The ones that should click fast with listeners will be Keri Hilson, Lil' Mama and Missy Elliott. I've also noticed that Katy Perry's "I Kiss A Girl" has started to cross over to Rhythmic, so we could see some feedback coming out from this song.

Savage "Swing"

Mariah Carey f/ TI "I'll Be Lovin You Long Time"

Both will be top 10 at rhythmic, Mariah Carey may go #1

In the ghetto

^^ When I think of a gritty inner city, I immediately think of Marshall, MN. Their CHR pumps out the hard core rap to relate to their audience.

Who doesn't love a good petty radio fight??

Obviously you do, Josh Jones.

To a-train: Where are those requests for Swing by Savage coming from? Where is the bulk of that callout coming from? You can't honestly sit there and try to tell me that your CORE is clamoring for Savage/Soulja Boy - Swing. You can't honestly sit there and try to tell me that a 28-31 year old soccer mom is blowing up your phone lines begging for that song. Remember, that's your CORE in CHR, not the little brats that haven't hit puberty or acquired a driver's license yet.

I am not saying you shouldn't play rap, but stick to the charts as the ones on the chart are PROVEN for the CHR CORE, not the 11 year olds requesting White and Nerdy that you and the weekenders like to put on the air.

who the crap is Josh Jones?? ???

lol I'm partial to Savage cause we broke the record here but the thing WILL be a Top 40 hit. It may be a little too early for a mainstream CHR to play it, but at night that's the type of record that will be requested. Truthsayer, you gotta keep in mind that most good CHRs are a little younger leaning at night, because that's who's listening. Your 31 year old soccer mom is usually not listening at 9:00 at night, but her 13-year old daughter IS. The 18-year old college freshman might be. You have to cater to them a bit more, and Savage is a fun night dance record. It's right there along the lines of a Soulja Boy "Crank That", DJ Unk "Walk It Out", or the Cupid Shuffle. Are you saying that CHR shouldn't have played those either?
