Boston Arbitron Ratings: Holiday 2012

http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb013

These are the publicly released overall age 6+ rankings for the Holiday 2012 survey period covering Thu. 12/6/12-Wed. 1/2/13.
The next survey period will be January 2013 covering Thu. 1/3/13-Wed. 1/30/13 with the data release date being Tue. 2/19/13.

Note: WHBA (Adult Hits) changed to Dance music on Thu. 12/20/12. Call letters changed to WEDX on 1/2/13.

WPLM isn't a subscriber to Arbitron right now, hence no numbers. Some stations like WPLM subscribe to a few months in the spring or fall. The PPM numbers year-round are VERY expensive.

On another note, how long is CC going to keep the comedy that is the tragically low ratings on 1200 going? Why not swap 1430 and 1200 around, so the Spanish programming has a bigger signal and can reach up to the north shore and southwards as well?

One thing that struck out to me is how bad the numbers are for WAAF. This may not be new for a lot of you but wow...getting beat out by AM-RKO. Can't be good times over at Entercom right now thats for sure...

Come the next book will the execs at CC even want to look at WJMN numbers ?
Things look bleak for them without some changes.

No one cares about 6+ numbers except the seemingly endless victims of EDS.

In their target demo, men 18-34, WAAF is 6th 6A-12M, and a consistent 5th or 6th across AM drive, middays and PM drive.

Entercom isn't worried about WAAF. WEEI-FM, on the other hand...

Any guesses on what the numbers for WTKK will be in their first month on the air? Their facebook page is blowing up with already more than 4,000 followers.

Looks like 101.7 is back under a 1 share. Think this is a Holiday wobble or were the first two weeks of Evolution painting a picture of how EDM will be working out?

WEDX's true numbers won't be reflected until the January 2013 PPMs. Its probably just a wobble since they flipped to Dance on December 20, 2012.

The current WEDX Dance music "Evolution 101.7" (former WHBA-Adult Hits) Boston for Holiday 2012 (Dec.6-Jan. 2):
0.9 share, 292,600 cume.

But as mentioned, the format flip happened halfway through the survey period.

Under the former "Harbor" handle (Adult Hits) for the previous 4 periods (Sep.-Dec. '12),
the station averaged a 1.4 share and around 385,000 cume.
