BOSTON ARBITRON RATINGS RELEASED: DECEMBER 2010

Oh how I've learned how little the 6+ means.

Stations that appear to be failing 6+, could in fact, be killing in the money demos.

;)

6+ is useful in that is shows an overall trend.

It's very rare that a station is outside of the top 15 6+ stations and "killing" in the money demos.

does that include WRKO and WAAF?

I don't think WRKO is "killing" in the money demo by any stretch of the imagination.

As for WAAF....we could start a debate about what constitutes "killing in the money demo"...but I don't think I have heard WAAF ever be described that way.

This is 6 plus, not 25-54 etc. Maybe RKO and AAF do better in those

Of course older skewing formats will do better once you start taking 6-11's, and 12+18's out of the sample.

December 2010 Adults 25-54
WRKO is tied for 19th place with WXRV and Just above WFNX
WAAF is 14th place just under WBUR and above WBZ-AM

December 2010 Males Only 25-54

WAAF is in 5th place (right after WXKS-FM and before WMKK)
WRKO is tied for 18th place with WFNX and WXRV
