Boston Area Tower Changes

Has anyone noticed the Candelabra tower in Needham is no longer the Candelabra? The three separate antennas at the top of the tower have been replaced with a new antenna in the middle. And the former WNDS-TV tower in Hudson, N.H. has been removed entirely. Surprised the shorter tower with WFNQ's antenna next to the WNDS tower was retained. WFNQ has also moved north to Merrimack next to the Outlet Mall.

Love the warning stickers on the new antenna. If you're close enough to read them, I would think you knew what you were doing.

The 3 "candles" were for many years WFXT (WXNE originally), WSBK, and WLVI. WSBK moved to the CBS tower for the 2009 DTV transition, and WLVI went off the air for the repack - and shares on the WHDH transmitter. The most common design now uses a single master antenna which can handle several UHF signals at the same time.
