Boston Dance Radio

Regardless what Boston said, they need a dance oriented radio station. The former Star 93.7 was the worse programmed station in Boston.

Anyone who knows dance music should jump at a chance to program a dance radio station if it ever comes back.

How would you program a dance station in Boston?

What kind of dance music would you have? If I had the chance to, I would have a mix of new and classic dance but I would be creative. I would make the station stand out from the others and play every kind of dance music I could including mainstream dance, techno, house, Latino, European, new and classic R&B dance music and slow jams, and some classic dance tunes but all the music would go back no futher than the 80's.

I like channels 81 & 82 on XM,I agree there should be no overplaying of ABBA and the Bee Gees and calling it a dance station

It would be keen to do all that. But what you are missing is the mixshows. All mixshows at night starting with disco, then current, deep house, and then techno, trance, hard house.

Your basic daily programming: Disco, Latin Freestyle, Remix Pop, Dance Hits, Techno, Trance, Hard House Hits.

There are alot of talented DJs out there including DJ Massi, The Riddler, Mike Bordes, Glenn Friscia, myself, etc.

I know that to be a dance station, you need mixshows to be 55minutes long with 5 minutes of commercials.

Now that is a dance station.
