Boston Personalities who tried and failed in Providence

Who remembers when Matty from "Kiss 108" Boston syndicated his show into Providence on Hot 106? I thought it was good while it lasted. Apparently the ratings wern't there though. To bad. I really love Matty. He's got the best Morning show in the region. I sure wish he could syndicate back into Providence. I think his show failed the first time because HOT's audience just didn't like the guy. I think on PRO-FM he would have done much better.

Howie Carr was a miserable failure in Providence too. I can understand that one better though. His whole show is about Boston. It's all he knows. So he couldn't adapt to a National Audience.

Any other Boston personalities who tried to make their mark in Rhode Island?
