I realize it's only 6+, but:

WRKO looks to be taking a bad hit. Gee, you don't think it's due to the screwing around with its lineup, do you?

And WBZ: lately, too many on-air gaffes; too dang many news items from from TV news (we know these don't "play" well w/o the pictures), not enough from their radio network feeds. Plus, their anchors are all over the place during the day. The tweak to the "WBZ Newsradio 1030" branding. Hmmm, maybe the changes being made there aren't going over too well, either.

I'm well over 6+; heck, I'm over 60+, the target for these two icons, and I'm NOT LIKING IT. Was corporate hoping to appeal to a "younger audience"?

Giving VP his own show (no, that's not a typo... he's VP -- Vanilla Pudding -- a shapeless, spineless bland blob -- in his attempt to be non-offensive to everyone on the planet) is like a boat anchor around their neck.

Krazy K0000nah is improving on morning drive, though. Of course, it's still all about him, and "Trump's people"... they "listen to (his) show" (odd how he's never been invited to a White House party, on air force one, etc., like Howie has). However, K000nah can provide excellent political analysis, when he does it without the silly voices and antics which play to the low-brow crowd.

WKAF: Seems to be making slow and steady gains. There must be a hole for this format (Urban AC), because Classic AC doesn't seem to feature many black artists anymore. WKAF, with it's limited signal, staff, budget, seem to be beating established WJMN which doesn't seem to know what to be anymore. WKAF also seems to beat WBOS and AMP103.3.

How long can AMP103.3 survive with mediocre results?

WWBX Mix 104.1: Do you think they inherited some of the Magic audience who thought the CHristmas Music was a little too much too soon? :)

We can speculate all we want using the 6+ numbers, but since most of us are not privy to the real numbers, and we are not allowed to to discuss them on this board if we did know them, we have no idea what they are pulling for numbers in 18 to 34 females, or what they are doing for billing.

WBOS has been "under performing in most peoples eyes for decades, but it is rumored they bill well and dollars trump ratings points every time, justifying their format

I have an idea...(and many others on this board do) and they perform mediocre in billing and in the important demos.

That rumor has been around for 20 years. I no longer believe it to be true. I think they probably bill more that the ratings indicate they should....but I think the days are passe' that bill as well as many would believe.

We can speculate all we want

Speculatin'! Isn't that what this board is for? ;-)

Amp is 10th in market billing (of course, the way each cluster attributes joint sales revenue is always a question), and about half of the WXKS billing level, which is 3rd in the market. In a rolling average of several books, Amp is 3rd in 18-34 females. They have a power ratio of about 1.25, meaning they do a good job of converting ratings to revenue.

The station slightly under-performs in power ratio, a rather normal situation for alternative stations. While its ratings are much lower in the last 3 years, oddly its revenue in the 2015-2917 period is about a third higher than the average of the preceding 3 years.

Then again, it was in July 2017 that they replaced their local morning team with the show from Detroit.

Hi David, Was curious who bills 1 and 2 in the Market? Would that be the sports stations?

So fewer people are listening, but the ones who are are the most desirable to advertisers? Did the imported morning show get rid of the slacker-in-mom's-basement audience of the prevailing negative stereotype and replace them with a less cynical, more mature, productive and receptive to advertising bunch of listeners?

As someone who grew up in Dave & Chuck’s home market, I’d argue they went the other way around with that morning show (meaning, towards the slacker crowd).
