Boston Radio Ratings February 2020

Pre pausing of all sports probably more a reflection on John Henry wanting to get under the CBT rather than anything Entercom did.

The station that was formerly Entercom's WAAF and is now WKVB.
EMF running 107.3 under a LMA while awaiting sale approval.

That appears to be correct, and those numbers must reflect the bounce the station received in its final week.

Not necessarily, do not under estimate the number of people who actually like Christian music. Just saying is all.

Great job Entercom -- WEEI-FM is even losing to WRKO.

Good to see WRKO finally starting to being bouncing back to halfway decent numbers!

Is WBQT in trouble it’s ratings are slipping

WBQT did not take that much of a dip.

WJMN and WODS (both full-market signals) are losing to rimshot WXLO

WXLO now has on-channel boosters in Boston, Waltham and Lexington.

Interesting that WXLO is now on par with both WJMN and WODS now, however, that may indicate how boring they are instead. Is either of the Top 2 conglomerates still pumping money into either station as Culumus did with WXLO via signal strength?

WKVB is not subscribed to the Nielsen service, so the public release will not show them.

It was already reported in the industry trades that the listening to the last week of the rock format was double that of the average prior weekly level. Any "pop" came from that.

They might come back. EMF subscribes in other markets from time to time.

Sounds like a waste of money to me, and I can't imagine a donating listener being pleased to know that even a tiny part of the money he or she is sending the station regularly is going toward what looks for all the world like pointless ego stroking and self-aggrandizement -- "A 2.5 in Boston! Praise the Lord! Praise our big signal! How great we art!" -- rather than anything even remotely associated with EMF's mission.

That's not what they use it for. A lot of non-profits use the demographic data for their help with targeting donors. They also want to know if the programming is reaching the desired audience, or if they need to make changes.

They don't use it to brag.

For some years EMF has subscribed to ratings in a small number of markets of different sizes and geographical areas. They use it, as you say, to track the broad success of programming; their main "rating" is in donations, though.
