Boston's urban radio

To rapking, Tell us what is Boston urban radio like? Where do people generally go to listen to R&B music on the radio in Boston? (is there a non-commercial station, low-powered station, another FM) What do think about Jam'n 94.5?
Can you give a brief history of what happened to WILD FM and why? And what programs do WILD-AM carry? (They don't have a website.) Thanks.

BTW I'm looking forward to the Celtics this season, if only the Lakers, Sixers, and Knicks can make a comeback then the nba would be alright again.

WHAT Urban radio?

94.5 is ONLY Hip hop and has more then once not played non rap rhythmic hits.

WXKS had strong rhythmic roots dating back to its disco days in 79 and its urban contemporary days in the 80s.

WILD-FM sold out for an AAF simucast.

Here is a quote from me, talking about this subject on The Boston Board " There no Urban A/C because Radio One F--- The damn thing up . Nash WILD-AM 1090 was doing great ( even with a am Daytimer weak signal ) until Nash made a big mistake by selling it to Radio One . Radio One got Cheap and laid off almost all Wild/Wbot D.J's ( Only Dave H. and Reagie Beas on weekdays ) and made WILD almost like a urban Jack Format ( Awful Mike Type ) . Radio One also made WILD Listeners confuse, because Radio One change WILD/WBOT Format to Half Urban A/C and Half Urban Mainstream ( That =Total Mess ) . Radio One ( Boston ) Junk will not work in New York,Shreveport LA,Norfolk VA, New Orleans LA, Chicago,or anywhere on Earth ". WILD-AM Now is Radio-One Talk ( Tom Joyner and Radio One Talk, All day, Gospel on the weekend and very little local shows ) and WILD is on Sale . This is a Urban A/C Pirate in Boston ( 106.1 Touch ) , but its on a weak signal . College station 88.9 has a Urban A/C show on the Weekend ( The Secret Spot 8pm to mid-night Saturday and sunday ) . College station 88.1 has a Urban A/C show on Sunday Night . If you live south of Boston , You can hear college station 95.5 from Providence R.I. ( Gospel in morning and a Urban Station the rest of the day on Sunday, 95.5 is Rock the rest of the week ). Jamn 94.5 is just a Avg Hip hop station ( nothing to write home about ). 94.5 plays new music only during there weekend mix shows and late nights . Jamn 94.5 plays the same 10 songs over and over again, During the day . For the Hip Hop Music , Hot 106 Providence (You can Only get Hot 106 if you live south of Boston ) is a better station than Jamn 94.5 . Boston Urban Radio Suck , Right Now !

Thanks for the info.

Radio One could have at least one local show.

I guess they don't even have Baisden on WILD.
