Boston's WRKO-AM 680 to Debut The Grace Curley Show

Now that kuhner doesn't have rush to do his show prep for him, he'll probably rely on hannity.......be prepared for kuhner to start saying "am I wrong" at the end of every opinion he gives.

Very weird for John Batchelor's show to end with no advance notice.

Well, that sucks. I wish him the best. His delivery was dry but his shows were always very, very informative with extremely interesting guests. Not sure there's another show like his out there.
Batchelor and Mike Siegel, two of my favorite talkshow hosts, intelligent, articulate, no ego involved, no nonsense, no hysteria, just damn good radio. I wish Batchelor the best and I wish RKO would bring back Siegel, he'd be excellent in the 6a-10a slot or even the 12p-3p slot or any damn slot on that station for that matter!

Siegel's up there.. Wikipedia has him pushing 75. Maybe at that age you want to slow down and enjoy whatever time you have left, especially when others around you your age or less are starting to drop.

Looks like he's buying airtime saturdays at a station in arizona:

As it turns out, go over to talkers.com for Wednesday to read where Batchelor is off the air at WABC because, in a change that occurred quietly earlier this week, his program is now syndicated by CBS NewsRadio instead of Westwood One. So, John is still on the air, just not on WABC. No mention of his cancer, thank God.

Guessing she will be on live but we'll find out. They aren't iHeart/mandated to carry Rush (--Rush successor).Am guessing station announcement(s) come tomorrow on all 3.

I'm guessing the compensation is much less to carry Grace than the current Rush show.

All three of those stations are owned by Saga Communications, and they're looking to cut expenses.

She's nowhere near a one-for-one replacement. But she's a warm body in a chair, as they say.

She is a hell of a lot better out of the gate than VB ever was.
When the bar is that low, that's not really saying a whole hell of a lot, you realize.

She's also a heck of a lot better than K0000nah.

I think it's helpful that she has the marketing/advertising experience of working with sponsors prior to becoming on air talent. Seems like a lot of Howie's sponsors are happy to spend on her show as well.

WGAN sched says Rush, Howie, Levin, Batchelor (who switches syndicators). I would think they carry Grace live--current and regional--and don't know if they would tape delay Rush reruns/new host till later.
WKBK already listing Curley show on site
