BostonSportsMedia: 1510ESPN domain names registered

@Raccoonradio, good thoughts. I just have to correct you on a tiny info. ESPN is syndicated through (Citadel Media Networks) who used to recently be ABC Radio Networks. You wer half right. But you have good knowledge. Good looking out.
Fox Sports Radio is syndicated through Premiere Radio Networks. Yes, you were correct on that.
Good looks

Can't remember if I said who syndicates ESPN but I may have said that Premiere/Clear
Channel syndicates _Fox Sports Radio_. If not for WBZ-FM running FSR, and if Clear
Channel wished, they could well have put FSR full time on 1430 WKOX (they are
clearing Premiere's syndie talk shows on WXKS 1200)

The thing about rumors and wishes btw--with rumors, sometimes they're true, sometimes they're not. As of this point 1510 prob. won't go ESPN --though I wouldn't be surprised if
Entercom put a couple baseball playoff games as they did last year on 1510 to 'clear'
them, stuff like NLCS (no room on WEEI or WRKO). Maybe someday, and Pepe got the
domain names just in case (could be those $10/yr deals). Some rumors we'd heard over
the years, like WXKS going conservative talk, did come true, but we're still waiting
on "WEEI to 93.7". As for wishes, yes we can say as much as we want "so and so
should do this" but we have to remember how things are a business. Companies need
to look at demographics and decide if there's a need for something, how they will do
in demos, etc.

Take 93.7. They decided to go variety hits with it--CBS almost beat them to the punch
with 103.3. They may have figured, if it works, if it gets ratings and ad money, great! It's low cost--no DJs--and we'd make a good profit. If it DOESN'T work we could try
anything from WRKO or WEEI simulcast to foreign to dance, etc. As least judging from
the ratings, etc., variety hits worked and brought in a good demo (especially in
the suburbs, baby boomers and gen-X-ers etc.) People who just want a mix of
tunes without DJ talk. A glorified mp3 player.

It's turned out to be the money tree and as much as I'd like them to simulcast Sox
games so I can pick them up at work, I'm out of luck. "This radio station is a business..."

I wish Fox Sports Radio was on 24/7 on 1430. or even 1200am Fox Sports Radio is great

At the current moment, one of the stations I listen to is (despite the language barrier) I listen to Mia 1430am a lot. They're great. I understand very limited Spanish (25%) I speak about 10%
They're a lot like Magic 106.7 and KISS 108 put together in two, but in Spanish
