Both All Of WTTW And ME-TV Channels Not Working

For those who do NOT receive Cable nor Satellite.

Has anyone notice that every Monday and Friday that WTTW 11.1, 11.2, 11.3. 11.4
And WCIU/METV 26.1, 26.2, 26.3, 26.4 are off the air all day long both Mondays & Fridays!
This is ONLY on standard broadcast regular channels, NOT Cable nor Satellite networks.
(I don’t receive nor not have cable or satellite service to begin with)

Why is this???
All the other days I can get all of every PBS and METV channels except Mondays & Fridays ONLY.

Does anyone have any answers to this problem???…

Thank you

I saw this posted last night on AVS Forum:
WTTW Power Outage
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case any one is wondering what happened to WTTW tonight, from their Twitter site: "To our viewers: WTTW is off the air due to power outage. More info to come." (WTTW's twitter site saying about the outage - http://twitter.com/wttw/statuses/2575637676) Apparently this was posted about an hour ago from just seeing it now, so probably around 6:30pm-6:45pm tonight.
But that doesn't explain all your other outages.

What about the 26's: METV, WCIU, METOO, and THIS???
They go out every Monday & Friday and today almost or half of Saturday....

I have noticed that both WTTW and WCIU have a bad habit of moving their subchannels.

I'll be watching WWME on 26.2 and the next thing you know the TV channel goes off the air and it suddenly on 26.5. And WTTW is the same thing. I find the subchannel will change from 11.2 to 11.9 and then back again.

Perhaps that is what you're seeing for some reason the PSIP is not correct and the subchannels move, then move back and it's causing distruptions

I only use the digital box at this time, but I have problems with certain channels. My problems are with WTTW & WCIU. I also have problems with WMAQ, WWME, WMEU, WSNS, WXFT, & WCPX. All these stations pixelate a lot, and at times go out. I don't lose the channel though when I get the "No Signal" message. I have no problems with WLS, WBBM (didn't have many problems with their station when they were on 3, & on the John Hancock), WPWR, WFLD, WGN, or the last 2 full power stations to remain on the John Hancock: WYCC, & WGBO.

I don't know how much of it might be related to the equipment at the studios, and how much of it is at the Sears Tower (It's still the Sears Tower to me). I personally think there are too many stations on top of the Sears Tower. I wonder if some of the stations might be interfering with each other. For me, it's UHF stations on the Sears Tower, but none with the 2 on the John Hancock. I understand that stations want the height that the Sears Tower has. I do believe that some stations could have stayed on the John Hancock, and not had any problems. I wouldn't have minded if WGN gone back to 9, though that would have meant going back to the John Hancock for that. I wonder if WBBM hadn't approached WTTW for their old antenna, if WTTW would have gone back to 11. Would WTTW been able to keep their original coverage with WGVU in Grand Rapids & WLFI in Lafayette Indiana now have their digital on 11? I do remember had WBBM taken channel 11, that they couldn't, since they didn't originally occupy that channel.

WBBM was originally granted channel 11, but at VERY low power (1.18 kW), and WTTW would have probably found that to be a problem too.

WBBM chose to relocate to 12 using the 11 gear in order to be able to increase power (8 kW).

Tonight (1-22-10 12:55 AM), for some reason, all the WCIU DTV channels are off the air (Me-TV is still receivable on its own DTV channel).

Transmitter failure. They fixed it.
