Odd parsing of a 'winner': CNN had the most overall viewers from the entire Election Night experience of 8PM ET to approximately 2AM, along with the most 25-54 money demo viewers during that same time period. Fox News however, had the most viewers from the traditional primetime block of 8pm to 11pm--both in overall viewers and the money demo.

MSNBC was a distant third to both, but [IIRC] it and NBC News (tops on broadcast?) were the first outlets to declare President Obama re-elected based upon Ohio projections. I noticed that MSNBC was pundit-heavy with its usual hosts while NBC News used Brian Williams & company, mostly network talent. Both outlets shared correspondents and personalities like Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd (Williams accidentally threw to him live while he was busy talking to MSNBC viewers). Oddly, MSNBC's own Tamron Hall was mostly featured on NBC News' team outside Rockerfeller Center.
